About Me

Existential Psychotherapist  * Counselling Psychologist in training (DCPsych) *

Couples and Individuals * based in North London or online

Welcome! I'm Tali, an experienced couples therapist, existential psychotherapist,

and recently completed my Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy Doctorate training

Specialising in relationship therapy for both individual and couples, I am committed to offering transformative therapeutic support from my base in North London, or globally, online.

I’m an Existential Counselling Psychologist in training (doctorate level - DCPsych) and a Couples Counsellor

with international clinical experience since 2011.

I offer in person and online session, for individuals and couples, facilitating self-exploration and growth within a safe environment.

My journey into the realms of psychology began almost 30 years ago, I worked many years in Human resources, before becoming a Life Coach, accredited by the Adlerian Coaching School and licensed by the International Coach Federation (ICF) in 2011. This experience laid a solid foundation for my therapeutic approach, emphasising the Adlerian principles of community, belonging, and the pursuit of a meaningful purpose.

I lived in Israel and Germany before settling in my current home in the heart of North London. This international experience not only shapes my understanding of diverse human conditions but also enriches the empathetic, open and curious approach I bring to therapy.

With a foundational education that includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Organisational Behaviour, I have now completed an extensive doctoral studies in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology.

My academic pursuit is more than just an accumulation of knowledge or skills; it's a deep dive into understanding the nuanced impacts of immigration on the dynamics within couples' relationships— my research is a reflection of my commitment to addressing real-world relationship complexities within the therapeutic space.

I have acquired PGDip level and am a registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Other professional affiliations include certification as a Couples Counsellor by the National Counselling Society (NCS), and membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Adhering to the BACP's ethical framework, I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment grounded in trust, respect, and confidentiality.

At the heart of my practice is a firm belief in the transformative power of choice and the potential for growth amidst life's challenges. I view relationship conflicts and life crises not just as hurdles, but as invaluable opportunities for introspection, learning, and creating meaningful change. With a focus on facilitating self-exploration and nurturing personal growth within a safe and supportive setting, I am here to guide you towards unlocking your inherent potential and crafting the fulfilling life and relationships you deserve.

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot have full control over the situations in which we find ourselves, nor change the other people in our lives, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. Sometimes we are limited ourselves by the stories we tell ourselves and our subjective perception of reality. I believe we are responsible for our choices, and motivated to search for meaning and purpose in our lives. We want to belong and be meaningful and valued by the others. Existential concepts of anxiety, freedom, responsibility, meaning and isolation are an integral part of living an authentic life. Exploring the way we relate to others, our choices, assumptions, values and beliefs, examining conflicts and choices in our lives can facilitate a deeper understanding and enable true free choice and optimal self-fulfilment.

Let’s embark together on a journey of deep reflection, self-exploration, challenge and growth, to achieve a more satisfying, self-fulfilling and joyful life. I use an open and non-judgemental approach and combine tools from Adlerian psychology, Coaching, and Existentialist-Phenomenological therapy.

Couples and relationship therapy enable greater introspection and understanding of ourselves and our partner, taking responsibility for our part in the relationship and allowing change to occur in reactions, patterns, and relationship dynamics.
